Not random.
Not superstition.
Not nothing.
A symbol becomes real because someone gives it weight, and someone else feels it.
And sometimes that is how a dynamic begins.
Not with a scene.
Not with a confession.
Not even with a touch.
Sometimes it begins with a pause that lasts a little too long.
Sometimes it begins with the sense that something has already been happening beneath the surface.
Sometimes it begins when one person feels the charge, and the other one recognizes it.
And that is usually long before a single word is spoken.
