♡ SWEET STEADY — Pajama Party!

OPENING: それが欲しかったの?

That little—

PUPPY.

I was going to say puppy.

Obviously.

I have planned a magnificent afternoon.

A soft blanket.

My favorite music.

Strawberry ice cream.

A shady little spot beneath a tree.

And the most adorable puppy imaginable.

Everything is perfect.

For approximately eleven seconds.

Then she notices a leaf.

A LEAF.

Σ(゚Д゚)

Apparently, I’ve been replaced by something that fell off a tree.

It doesn’t even have a personality!

One moment, she’s resting her little head against me.

The next?

Gone.

Off to investigate her new botanical obsession.

Well!

I suppose my company isn’t nearly as fascinating as I’d believed.

Which is ridiculous.

I’m delightful.

Still, it’s funny how quickly a warm little spot beside you can become an empty one.

I liked having her there.

I had plans for that spot.

Excellent plans.

But she has plans, too.

Apparently, they involve gardening.

Fine.

I’m not going to spend a beautiful afternoon arguing with a puppy about foliage.

I have standards.

Besides, I’ve brought treats.

Strawberry ice cream for me.

A little frozen puppy ice cream, made especially for dogs, for her.

We are both going to have something delicious.

Whether we enjoy it together is entirely up to her.

And I intend to enjoy mine regardless.

With sprinkles.

An unreasonable quantity.

Actually, no.

A perfectly reasonable quantity.

It’s my ice cream.

I’ll decide.

(๑´ڡ`๑)

…

Oh!

Look who’s coming back.

She’s carrying the leaf.

Very proudly.

And now she’s putting it beside me.

For me?

Really?

Oh, you sweet little thing.

(˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Well.

I suppose it is a rather beautiful leaf.

I’ll put it somewhere safe.

Right beside my blanket.

She can have her frozen treat now.

And perhaps a little ear scratch.

If she’d like one.

…

She would.

Excellent taste.

Now, where was I?

Ah, yes.

My magnificent afternoon.

It seems I have a puppy, a lovely new leaf, and a very generous amount of strawberry ice cream.

Not quite what I planned.

But I rather like it.

And there’s still room on the blanket.

Would you like to join us?

You can tell me about your day if you like.

Or we can just sit here and listen to the music.

Sunshine or shade.

Whatever you prefer.

I’ve brought an extra spoon.

…

For the strawberry ice cream.

Not the puppy ice cream.

Honestly.

What kind of hostess do you think I am?

ENDING: Is that what you wanted?
