Permission can end while memory continues.
A photograph may be deleted.
A conversation can disappear.
Some of what was shared remains.
The mind holds the person as they were.
Their life continues beyond that version.
New choices cannot reach it.
No explanation gets added to an old confession.
Absence makes the image easier to keep.
It cannot interrupt.
Contradict.
Ask to be understood differently.
Remembering may be involuntary.
What happens with that knowledge is still a choice.
Access is not ownership.
Past permission does not become permanent access.
Something revealed may stay in your head without becoming yours to repeat.
The memory belongs to you.
The person inside it does not.
