A stranger’s opinion often carries little weight.
A shared history leaves examples.
The promise.
The result.
How you acted when challenged.
That account is incomplete.
It may still contain something your own version left out.
The hardest description to dismiss is often the one supported by your behavior.
Intimacy does not make every judgment correct.
It gives them memories you cannot control.
Getting close can make another person an authority on what it was like to know you.
